Good afternoon. and a very happy Friday to you all! I hope the end of this week brings you joy rather than fear knowing that we now only have 10 days until the big bearded man himself comes tumbling down our chimneys to deliver either prezzies or coal into our stockings (I'm still unsure which one I'll be getting after this crazy year!).
However, you need not wait until Christmas to receive a gift - as on the 3rd Day of my 12 Recipes of Christmas, I am sharing with you some of my "creative genius", as this year I really struggled to think of gift ideas that were not too expensive (#unibudget), but were also meaningful and something that those close to me would really appreciate. I got the idea of a Deconstructed Turmeric Latte from a little whole-foods store in my area which makes up tea leaf mixes and stores them in jars, so I thought why not try it with a turmeric latte? One of my dad's favourite drinks! This prezzie is super easy, cute, fun, and creative! All you need to do once you have constructed it is write a tag on it with the instructions of how to consume (as follows)

While this one isn't a recipe, I do hope you enjoyed the cute idea! You could also do it with so many other combinations like smoothies or hot chocolates (healthy hot choccies of course). Please feel free to leave a comment or tag me in your posts (@feeding_energy) if you do try any of my recipes as I would LOVE to hear your feedback and see your creations! Much love, S x

Well well well, here we are at the end of Day 2 of my '12 Recipes of Christmas' and boy have I got a good one for you today! This recipe is, dare I say, close to my heart. It is one which is quick, and regularly cooked up by yours truly (I'd say probably about every 2 weeks) when I just cannot be bothered! I know! How bad does that sound? But honestly guys, when you've had a big week, can you really disagree with me that sometimes you just don't feel like cooking some 7 course degustation menu that looks like it belongs on the cover of 'Delicious' magazine? If you agree with me, then this recipe is definitely one to keep on the books, and at the ready because you can literally make it from pantry staples and the leftover veg from the week...literally. I'm warning you, it is not pretty... BUT it is so simple, and so tasty that absolutely everyone in the fam will think you've been slaving away for hours on end when you present this beauty to their grumbling tummies.
As always guys - I hope you enjoy this recipe, and if you do decide to try it then please let me know! Send me a comment, email, tag (@feeding_energy) in your insta posts, and let me know your thoughts! Much love, S xo Recipe For the nachos

To celebrate the final 12-day countdown to Christmas, I've decided to take part in my very own '12 Recipes of Christmas'! The means one Christmas themed recipe upload EVERY SINGLE DAY! For the next 12 DAYS! No way!!! Hehe you can thank me later ;)
To kick start these 12 days of awesomeness, I'm sharing with you my smoothie from this morning which honestly was a complete whim and I didn't actually know how the ginger would taste in this, but it definitely delivered a powerful punch, and added a whole new level of flavour to my standard berry smoothie. I have left the recipe below as always! If you try this one, please let me know what you think by leaving a comment, and tagging (@feeding_energy) in your insta posts if you upload those glorious pics of yours! Much love, S xo Recipe
Hello everyone, and welcome to a brand new week! I can't believe that Christmas is just around the corner! Where has the year gone?!
If you're like me and are an avid cafe crawler (pub crawls are overrated anyway), I'm sure you follow a million and one cute little cafes, and foodie insta's which provide you with daily food envy and cooking inspiration! My current foodie feed is CHOCK FULL of decadent Christmas recipes of all shapes and sizes, and the other morning as I was salivating at all the beautiful works of art people have captured, I scrawled past a pic which really caught my eye! 'Kale and Avo Supergreens Chocolate Chip Cookies' was the mouthful of a recipe (by @veggiekins), and I got the inspo to create my own version for Christmas! These cookies turned out so amazingly, and I ate them all pretty much that day (hehe whoops! Sorry Santa! Promise I'll make some more before your arrival!). I hope you all enjoy these just as much as I did, and I would love so much to see your creations, so if you share them on Insta - please feel free to tag me ( @feeding_energy )! For the blueberry layer
> put in freezer for 30-60mins Chocolate layer
> pour onto blueberry layer and return to freezer overnight There is no doubt in the world that I am 100% a morning person. When my alarm goes off at 5am, I'm honestly so excited to jump out of bed, head to the gym, and think of what I'm going to make myself for breakfast when I get back home. There is something about the morning that just works with me, and while I know a lot of other people DO NOT feel the same, I think there is nothing better than getting up early and starting the day with physical activity and good food.
As I am a student, and currently on holidays - I have a lot more time than I normally do to spend time on things like thinking about and preparing my meals. This meant that this morning I was able to come back from the gym, have a shower, and distinguish exactly what it was that my body was craving for breakfast, and sure enough, this little gem emerged 15mins later, and boy was it deliciousssssss! Below is the recipe to my Berry Brekkie Bowl! I hope you enjoy! S xo Recipe (serves 1) Ingredients
